A scene can be either an RGB (+D) image or a 3D reconstruction (point cloud). If the scene is an image, SCD is a form of pixel-level prediction because each pixel in the image is classified according to a category. On the other hand, if the scene is point cloud, SCD is a form of point-level prediction because each point in the cloud is classified according to a category. \r\n\r\nSome example benchmarks for this task are VL-CMU-CD, PCD, and CD2014. Recently, more complicated benchmarks such as ChangeSim, HDMap, and Mallscape are released.\r\n\r\nModels are usually evaluated with the Mean Intersection-Over-Union (Mean IoU), Pixel Accuracy, or F1 metrics.","description_from":"task","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","rank":"the archive's row order at snapshot; not re-ranked","rows_end_at":"2025-07-28","rows_withheld_as_spam":0,"metric_values":"the archive's strings, untouched"},"metrics":["F1-score"],"metric_direction":{"note":"inferred from the metric name only (the archive records no direction); null = not inferred, chart draws points only","by_metric":{"F1-score":"higher"}},"counts":{"rows":2,"rows_with_code":2,"rows_with_paper_page":2,"rows_dated":2,"rows_using_additional_data":0},"rows":[{"rank_in_archive_order":1,"model":"C-3PO (VGG-16)","metrics":{"F1-score":"0.800"},"uses_additional_data":false,"paper_date":"2022-06-15","paper":"/paper/how-to-reduce-change-detection-to-semantic","paper_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2206.07557v2","paper_title":"How to Reduce Change Detection to Semantic Segmentation","code":"https://github.com/DoctorKey/C-3PO","n_code_links":1,"syntology":{"n_ran":10,"n_unverified":0,"n_samples":10,"n_pointer_only_licence":0}},{"rank_in_archive_order":2,"model":"C-3PO (ResNet-18)","metrics":{"F1-score":"0.794"},"uses_additional_data":false,"paper_date":"2022-06-15","paper":"/paper/how-to-reduce-change-detection-to-semantic","paper_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2206.07557v2","paper_title":"How to Reduce Change Detection to Semantic Segmentation","code":"https://github.com/DoctorKey/C-3PO","n_code_links":1,"syntology":{"n_ran":10,"n_unverified":0,"n_samples":10,"n_pointer_only_licence":0}}],"since_archive":{"claim":"Results that newer papers report for their own method, placed here by Syntology.
