Medical Image Registration is used in many clinical applications such as image guidance, motion tracking, segmentation, dose accumulation, image reconstruction and so on. Medical Image Registration is a broad topic which can be grouped from various perspectives. From input image point of view, registration methods can be divided into unimodal, multimodal, interpatient, intra-patient (e.g. same- or different-day) registration. From deformation model point of view, registration methods can be divided in to rigid, affine and deformable methods. From region of interest (ROI) perspective, registration methods can be grouped according to anatomical sites such as brain, lung registration and so on. From image pair dimension perspective, registration methods can be divided into 3D to 3D, 3D to 2D and 2D to 2D/3D.\n\n\n<span class=\"description-source\">Source: [Deep Learning in Medical Image Registration: A Review ](https://arxiv.org/abs/1912.12318)</span>","description_from":"task","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","rank":"the archive's row order at snapshot; not re-ranked","rows_end_at":"2025-07-28","rows_withheld_as_spam":0,"metric_values":"the archive's strings, untouched"},"metrics":["DSC"],"metric_direction":{"note":"inferred from the metric name only (the archive records no direction); null = not inferred, chart draws points only","by_metric":{"DSC":null}},"counts":{"rows":8,"rows_with_code":8,"rows_with_paper_page":8,"rows_dated":8,"rows_using_additional_data":0},"rows":[{"rank_in_archive_order":1,"model":"LL_Net","metrics":{"DSC":"0.767"},"uses_additional_data":false,"paper_date":"2024-05-27","paper":"/paper/a-light-weight-rectangular-decomposition","paper_url":"https://doi.org/10.1016/j.bspc.2024.106476","paper_title":"A light-weight rectangular decomposition large kernel convolution network for deformable medical image registration.","code":"https://github.com/BoyOfChu/LL_Net","n_code_links":1,"syntology":null},{"rank_in_archive_order":2,"model":"OFG + TransMorph","metrics":{"DSC":"0.760"},"uses_additional_data":false,"paper_date":"2023-08-29","paper":"/paper/optron-better-medical-image-registration-via","paper_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2308.15216v5","paper_title":"On-the-Fly Guidance Training for Medical Image Registration","code":"https://github.com/miraclefactory/on-the-fly-guidance","n_code_links":2,"syntology":null},{"rank_in_archive_order":3,"model":"TransMorph","metrics":{"DSC":"0.744"},"uses_additional_data":false,"paper_date":"2021-11-19","paper":"/paper/transmorph-transformer-for-unsupervised","paper_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2111.10480v6","paper_title":"TransMorph: Transformer for unsupervised medical image registration","code":"https://github.com/junyuchen245/TransMorph_Transformer_for_Medical_Image_Registration","n_code_links":2,"syntology":{"n_ran":2,"n_unverified":0,"n_samples":2,"n_pointer_only_licence":0}},{"rank_in_archive_order":4,"model":"OFG + ViT-V-Net","metrics":{"DSC":"0.738"},"uses_additional_data":false,"paper_date":"2023-08-29","paper":"/paper/optron-better-medical-image-registration-via","paper_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2308.15216v5","paper_title":"On-the-Fly Guidance Training for Medical Image Registration","code":"https://github.com/miraclefactory/on-the-fly-guidance","n_code_links":2,"syntology":null},{"rank_in_archive_order":5,"model":"OFG + VoxelMorph","metrics":{"DSC":"0.737"},"uses_additional_data":false,"paper_date":"2023-08-29","paper":"/paper/optron-better-medical-image-registration-via","paper_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2308.15216v5","paper_title":"On-the-Fly Guidance Training for Medical Image Registration","code":"https://github.com/miraclefactory/on-the-fly-guidance","n_code_links":2,"syntology":null},{"rank_in_archive_order":6,"model":"EfficientMorph","metrics":{"DSC":"0.732"},"uses_additional_data":false,"paper_date":"2024-03-16","paper":"/paper/efficientmorph-parameter-efficient","paper_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2403.11026v2","paper_title":"EfficientMorph: Parameter-Efficient Transformer-Based Architecture for 3D Image Registration","code":"https://github.com/medvic-lab/efficient_morph_registration","n_code_links":1,"syntology":null},{"rank_in_archive_order":7,"model":"ViT-V-Net","metrics":{"DSC":"0.716"},"uses_additional_data":false,"paper_date":"2021-04-13","paper":"/paper/vit-v-net-vision-transformer-for-unsupervised","paper_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2104.06468v1","paper_title":"ViT-V-Net: Vision Transformer for Unsupervised Volumetric Medical Image Registration","code":"https://github.com/junyuchen245/ViT-V-Net_for_3D_Image_Registration_Pytorch","n_code_links":1,"syntology":{"n_ran":4,"n_unverified":4,"n_samples":8,"n_pointer_only_licence":0}},{"rank_in_archive_order":8,"model":"VoxelMorph","metrics":{"DSC":"0.714"},"uses_additional_data":false,"paper_date":"2018-09-14","paper":"/paper/voxelmorph-a-learning-framework-for","paper_url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/1809.05231v3","paper_title":"VoxelMorph: A Learning Framework for Deformable Medical Image Registration","code":"https://github.com/voxelmorph/voxelmorph","n_code_links":9,"syntology":null}],"since_archive":{"claim":"Results that newer papers report for their own method, placed here by Syntology.
