We provide the details on the non-convex nature of the GW optimization problem that imply NP-hardness of the GW distance between finite spaces for any instance of an input data. We further illustrate the non-convexity of the problem with several explicit examples.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2408.06525v2","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/2408.06525v2.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"the-np-hardness-of-the-gromov-wasserstein","repo_url":"https://github.com/kravtsova2/GW_NPhard","is_official":1,"mentioned_in_paper":0,"mentioned_in_github":1,"framework":"none","reach":null}],"tasks":[],"methods":[],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"syntology_url":null,"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
