Change-points are\ndetected by approximating the original signals with a constraint on the\nmultidimensional total variation, leading to piecewise-constant approximations.\nFast algorithms are proposed to solve the resulting optimization problems,\neither exactly or approximately. Conditions are given for consistency of both\nalgorithms as the number of signals increases, and empirical evidence is\nprovided to support the results on simulated and array comparative genomic\nhybridization data.","url_abs":"http://arxiv.org/abs/1106.4199v1","url_pdf":"http://arxiv.org/pdf/1106.4199v1.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"the-group-fused-lasso-for-multiple-change","repo_url":"https://github.com/alexandrehuat/gflsegpy","is_official":0,"mentioned_in_paper":0,"mentioned_in_github":1,"framework":"none","reach":null}],"tasks":[{"task_slug":"change-point-detection","task_name":"Change Point Detection"}],"methods":[],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"syntology_url":null,"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
