This distillation of interval-based approaches represents a fast and accurate method for time series classification, achieving state-of-the-art accuracy on the expanded set of 142 datasets in the UCR archive with a total compute time (training and inference) of less than 15 minutes using a single CPU core.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2308.00928v1","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/2308.00928v1.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"quant-a-minimalist-interval-method-for-time","repo_url":"https://github.com/angus924/quant","is_official":1,"mentioned_in_paper":1,"mentioned_in_github":1,"framework":"pytorch","reach":null}],"tasks":[{"task_slug":null,"task_name":"CPU"},{"task_slug":"classification-1","task_name":"Classification"},{"task_slug":"time-series-1","task_name":"Time Series"},{"task_slug":"time-series-classification","task_name":"Time Series Classification"}],"methods":[],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
