Following, fine tuning of these models is performed to achieve the best results on a variety of tasks. In this paper we question the common practice of only adding a single output layer as a classification head on top of the network. We perform an AutoML search to find architectures that outperform the current single layer at only a small compute cost. We validate our classification architecture on a variety of NLP benchmarks from the GLUE dataset.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2403.18547v1","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/2403.18547v1.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"neural-architecture-search-for-sentence","repo_url":"https://github.com/themody/nasforsentenceembeddingheads","is_official":1,"mentioned_in_paper":1,"mentioned_in_github":0,"framework":"pytorch","reach":null}],"tasks":[{"task_slug":"automl","task_name":"AutoML"},{"task_slug":"classification-1","task_name":"Classification"},{"task_slug":"architecture-search","task_name":"Neural Architecture Search"},{"task_slug":"sentence","task_name":"Sentence"},{"task_slug":"sentence-classification","task_name":"Sentence Classification"}],"methods":[],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
