MS approaches have been effective especially for severe blurs induced by large motions in high spatial scale since those can be seen as small blurs in low spatial scale. In this work, we investigate alternative approach to MS, called multi-temporal (MT) approach, for non-uniform single image deblurring. We propose incremental temporal training with constructed MT level dataset from time-resolved dataset, develop novel MT-RNNs with recurrent feature maps, and investigate progressive single image deblurring over iterations. Our proposed MT methods outperform state-of-the-art MS methods on the GoPro dataset in PSNR with the smallest number of parameters.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/1911.07410v1","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/1911.07410v1.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"multi-temporal-recurrent-neural-networks-for","repo_url":"https://github.com/Dong1P/MTRNN","is_official":0,"mentioned_in_paper":0,"mentioned_in_github":1,"framework":"pytorch","reach":{"status":"ok"}}],"tasks":[{"task_slug":"deblurring","task_name":"Deblurring"},{"task_slug":"image-deblurring","task_name":"Image Deblurring"},{"task_slug":"single-image-deblurring","task_name":"Single Image Deblurring"},{"task_slug":"video-deblurring","task_name":"Video Deblurring"}],"methods":[],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[{"leaderboard":"/sota/deblurring-on-gopro","task":"Deblurring","dataset":"GoPro","model":"MT-RNN","rank_in_archive_order":45,"of":56,"metrics":{"PSNR":"31.15","SSIM":"0.945"},"uses_additional_data":true},{"leaderboard":"/sota/deblurring-on-hide-trained-on-gopro","task":"Deblurring","dataset":"HIDE (trained on GOPRO)","model":"MT-RNN","rank_in_archive_order":21,"of":26,"metrics":{"PSNR (sRGB)":"29.15","Params (M)":"2.6","SSIM (sRGB)":"0.918"},"uses_additional_data":false},{"leaderboard":"/sota/image-deblurring-on-gopro","task":"Image Deblurring","dataset":"GoPro","model":"MT-RNN","rank_in_archive_order":42,"of":55,"metrics":{"PSNR":"31.15","SSIM":"0.945"},"uses_additional_data":true}],"syntology":{"syntology_url":"https://syntology.ai/paper/1911.07410","atlas_url":"https://app.syntology.ai/?focus=1911.07410","mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
