This helps in extending these models to high-dimensional data, which is first of its kind among Python libraries. The library provides user-friendly model evaluation tools, such as BIC, AIC, and log-likelihood estimation. The source-code is licensed under MIT license and can be accessed at \\url{https://github.com/kasakh/Mixture-Models}. The package is highly extensible, allowing users to incorporate new distributions and optimization techniques with ease. We conduct a large scale simulation to compare the performance of various gradient based approaches against Expectation Maximization on a wide range of settings and identify the corresponding best suited approach.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2402.10229v1","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/2402.10229v1.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"mixture-models-a-one-stop-python-library-for","repo_url":"https://github.com/kasakh/mixture-models","is_official":1,"mentioned_in_paper":1,"mentioned_in_github":0,"framework":"none","reach":null}],"tasks":[],"methods":[{"method_slug":null,"method_name":"Library"}],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
