Up to now, however, they\nwere proposed for either Horn DLs (which do not support disjunction), or for\nDLs without counting quantifiers. In this paper we present a novel\nconsequence-based calculus for SRIQ---a rich DL that supports both features.\nThis extension is non-trivial since the intermediate consequences that need to\nbe derived during reasoning cannot be captured using DLs themselves. The\nresults of our preliminary performance evaluation suggest the feasibility of\nour approach in practice.","url_abs":"http://arxiv.org/abs/1602.04498v3","url_pdf":"http://arxiv.org/pdf/1602.04498v3.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"extending-consequence-based-reasoning-to-sriq","repo_url":"https://github.com/andrewdbate/sequoia","is_official":0,"mentioned_in_paper":0,"mentioned_in_github":1,"framework":"none","reach":null}],"tasks":[],"methods":[],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
