However, existing approaches, which primarily use 3D bounding boxes and binary maps for foreground and background control, fall short in capturing the complexity of the scene and integrating multi-modal information. In this paper, we propose DualDiff, a dual-branch conditional diffusion model designed to enhance multi-view driving scene generation. We introduce Occupancy Ray Sampling (ORS), a semantic-rich 3D representation, alongside numerical driving scene representation, for comprehensive foreground and background control. To improve cross-modal information integration, we propose a Semantic Fusion Attention (SFA) mechanism that aligns and fuses features across modalities. Furthermore, we design a foreground-aware masked (FGM) loss to enhance the generation of tiny objects. DualDiff achieves state-of-the-art performance in FID score, as well as consistently better results in downstream BEV segmentation and 3D object detection tasks.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2505.01857v1","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/2505.01857v1.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"dualdiff-dual-branch-diffusion-model-for","repo_url":"https://github.com/yangzhaojason/DualDiff","is_official":0,"mentioned_in_paper":0,"mentioned_in_github":1,"framework":"pytorch","reach":null}],"tasks":[{"task_slug":"3d-object-detection","task_name":"3D Object Detection"},{"task_slug":"autonomous-driving","task_name":"Autonomous Driving"},{"task_slug":"bev-segmentation","task_name":"BEV Segmentation"},{"task_slug":"object-detection","task_name":"Object Detection"},{"task_slug":"scene-generation","task_name":"Scene Generation"},{"task_slug":"object-detection-1","task_name":"object-detection"}],"methods":[{"method_slug":"attention","method_name":"Attention"},{"method_slug":"diffusion","method_name":"Diffusion"},{"method_slug":"softmax","method_name":"Softmax"}],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
