The proposed architecture comprises an encoder layer, a global multi-head self-attention module, a cross-band module, a narrow-band module, and an output layer. CrossNet captures global, cross-band, and narrow-band correlations in the time-frequency domain. To address performance degradation in long utterances, we introduce a random chunk positional encoding. Experimental results on multiple datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of CrossNet, achieving state-of-the-art performance in tasks including reverberant and noisy-reverberant speaker separation. Furthermore, CrossNet exhibits faster and more stable training in comparison to recent baselines. Additionally, CrossNet's high performance extends to multi-microphone conditions, demonstrating its versatility in various acoustic scenarios.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2403.03411v1","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/2403.03411v1.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"links_only","authors_date_abstract":"arXiv metadata, CC0 1.0 (https://info.arxiv.org/help/license), from the Kaggle arXiv metadata snapshot of 2026-09-12"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"crossnet-leveraging-global-cross-band-narrow","repo_url":"https://github.com/ahmadikalkhorani/CrossNet","is_official":1,"mentioned_in_paper":0,"mentioned_in_github":1,"framework":"pytorch","reach":null}],"tasks":[],"methods":[],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"syntology_url":null,"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
