We demonstrate that the Quintic model effectively captures the volatility surfaces of SPX and VIX while aligning with the skew-stickiness ratio (SSR) across maturities ranging from a few days to over two years. Furthermore, the Quintic model shows consistency with key empirical stylized facts, notably reproducing the Zumbach effect.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2503.14158v1","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/2503.14158v1.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"capturing-smile-dynamics-with-the-quintic","repo_url":"https://github.com/shaunlinz02/two_factor_quintic_ou","is_official":1,"mentioned_in_paper":1,"mentioned_in_github":0,"framework":"none","reach":null}],"tasks":[],"methods":[],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
