It is crucial for researchers to compare newly developed systems with the state-of-the-art to assess whether they made a breakthrough. However previous works may not be immediately reproducible, for example due to the lack of source code. In this work we reproduce DEXTER, a system to automatically extract Gene-Disease Associations (GDAs) from biomedical abstracts. The goal is to provide a benchmark for future works regarding Relation Extraction (RE), enabling researchers to test and compare their results.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2207.06226v1","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/2207.06226v1.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"building-a-relation-extraction-baseline-for","repo_url":"https://github.com/mntlra/dexter","is_official":1,"mentioned_in_paper":1,"mentioned_in_github":0,"framework":"none","reach":null}],"tasks":[{"task_slug":null,"task_name":"Relation"},{"task_slug":"relation-extraction","task_name":"Relation Extraction"}],"methods":[{"method_slug":"test","method_name":"Test"}],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
