The tool allows annotators to define and describe temporal segmentation in audios. These segments can be labelled and transcribed easily using a dynamically generated form. An admin can centrally control user roles and project assignment through the admin dashboard. The dashboard also enables describing labels and their values. The annotations can easily be exported in JSON format for further analysis. The tool allows audio data and their corresponding annotations to be uploaded and assigned to a user through a key-based API. The flexibility available in the annotation tool enables annotation for Speech Scoring, Voice Activity Detection (VAD), Speaker Diarisation, Speaker Identification, Speech Recognition, Emotion Recognition tasks and more. The MIT open source license allows it to be used for academic and commercial projects.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2006.05236v2","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/2006.05236v2.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"audino-a-modern-annotation-tool-for-audio-and","repo_url":"https://github.com/midas-research/audino","is_official":1,"mentioned_in_paper":1,"mentioned_in_github":1,"framework":"none","reach":null}],"tasks":[{"task_slug":"action-detection","task_name":"Action Detection"},{"task_slug":"activity-detection","task_name":"Activity Detection"},{"task_slug":"emotion-recognition","task_name":"Emotion Recognition"},{"task_slug":"speaker-identification","task_name":"Speaker Identification"},{"task_slug":"speech-recognition","task_name":"Speech Recognition"},{"task_slug":"speech-recognition-1","task_name":"speech-recognition"}],"methods":[],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"syntology_url":null,"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
