To address this, we propose TwinLoop, a simulation-in-the-loop digital twin framework for online multi-agent reinforcement learning. When a context shift occurs, the digital twin is triggered to reconstruct the current system state, initialise from the latest agent policies, and perform accelerated policy improvement with simulation what-if analysis before synchronising updated parameters back to the agents in the physical system. We evaluate TwinLoop in a vehicular edge computing task-offloading scenario with changing workload and infrastructure conditions. The results suggest that digital twins can improve post-shift adaptation efficiency and reduce reliance on costly online trial-and-error.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2604.06610","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/2604.06610","source":{"archive":null,"snapshot":"2025-07-28","note":"not in the Papers with Code archive (frozen at the snapshot)","row_kind":"graph","title_abstract_authors_date":"arXiv metadata, CC0 1.0 (https://info.arxiv.org/help/license)"},"code_links":[],"tasks":[],"methods":[],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"atlas_url":"https://app.syntology.ai/?focus=2604.06610","mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers","read_at":"2026-09-24T18:15:14+00:00","read_at_is":"when the build read Syntology's graph, not when any sample ran","claim":"Per-sample execution status on synthesized fixtures; not a correctness claim about the paper.
