However, conventional wisdom suggests kernel methods are unsuitable for large samples due to their computational complexity and memory requirements. We introduce a novel random feature regression algorithm that allows us (when necessary) to scale to virtually infinite numbers of random features. We illustrate the performance of our method on the CIFAR-10 dataset.","url_abs":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2301.11414v2","url_pdf":"https://arxiv.org/pdf/2301.11414v2.pdf","source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28","licence_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode","row_kind":"abstracts"},"code_links":[{"paper_slug":"a-simple-algorithm-for-scaling-up-kernel","repo_url":"https://github.com/tengandreaxu/fabr","is_official":1,"mentioned_in_paper":0,"mentioned_in_github":0,"framework":"none","reach":{"status":"ok","spdx":"MIT"}}],"tasks":[{"task_slug":"regression-1","task_name":"regression"}],"methods":[],"datasets_introduced":[],"methods_introduced":[],"results":[],"syntology":{"syntology_url":null,"atlas_url":null,"mcp":null,"developers":"https://syntology.ai/developers"},"arxiv_metadata":null,"syntology_extracted_results":null}
