{"url":"/dataset/peld","name":"PELD","full_name":null,"description_markdown":"PELD is a text-based emotional dialog dataset with personality traits for speakers.\r\n\r\nThe dialogues in PELD are merged from the emotional dialogues in MELD and EmoryNLP , as well as the personality trait annotations from FriendsPersona.\r\n\r\nThe personality traits in PELD are adopted from the personality annotations in 711 different dialogues in FriendsPersona. Refer to the annotations, a role may exhibit different aspects of its personality in different dialogues.\r\n\r\nWe only keep the personality traits of the six main roles for confidence as their annotations are most frequent. For each of the main roles, we average their annotated personality traits in all the dialogues by $P_n = \\frac{1}{K}\\sum_{i=1}^K{P_i}$ for simplification, where $K$ is the number of annotations.\r\n\r\nSource: [https://github.com/preke/PELD](https://github.com/preke/PELD)","description_withheld":null,"homepage":"https://github.com/preke/PELD","introduced_date":"2021-06-30","introduced_date_note":null,"introduced_by":{"paper":"/paper/automatically-select-emotion-for-response-via","title":"Automatically Select Emotion for Response via Personality-affected Emotion Transition","first_author":"Wen Zhiyuan","url":null},"license":{"name":"Unknown","url":null},"modalities":[{"name":"Texts","url":"/datasets/modality/texts"}],"tasks":[],"languages":[{"name":"English","url":"/datasets/language/english"}],"variants":["PELD"],"data_loaders":[],"num_papers_in_archive":4,"source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28"},"benchmarks":[],"papers_with_a_benchmark_row":[],"syntology_totals":{"read_at":"2026-09-24T18:15:14+00:00","papers_with_samples":0,"samples_harvested":0,"samples_ran":0,"samples_unverified":0,"pointer_only_for_licence":0,"papers_with_no_sample_that_ran":0,"note":"the per-paper counts above, summed; not a rate"},"papers_note":"The archive never published its papers-using-dataset list; these are papers with a leaderboard row on this dataset's benchmarks."}
