{"url":"/dataset/nsd","name":"NSD","full_name":"Natural Scenes Dataset","description_markdown":"The Natural Scenes Dataset (NSD) is a large-scale fMRI dataset conducted at ultra-high-field (7T) strength at the Center of Magnetic Resonance Research (CMRR) at the University of Minnesota. The dataset consists of whole-brain, high-resolution (1.8-mm isotropic, 1.6-s sampling rate) fMRI measurements of 8 healthy adult subjects while they viewed thousands of color natural scenes over the course of 30–40 scan sessions. While viewing these images, subjects were engaged in a continuous recognition task in which they reported whether they had seen each given image at any point in the experiment. These data constitute a massive benchmark dataset for computational models of visual representation and cognition, and can support a wide range of scientific inquiry.\r\n\r\nSource: [Natural Scenes Dataset](https://naturalscenesdataset.org/)","description_withheld":null,"homepage":"https://naturalscenesdataset.org/","introduced_date":null,"introduced_date_note":null,"introduced_by":null,"license":null,"modalities":[],"tasks":[],"languages":[],"variants":["NSD"],"data_loaders":[],"num_papers_in_archive":2,"source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28"},"benchmarks":[],"papers_with_a_benchmark_row":[],"syntology_totals":{"read_at":"2026-09-24T18:15:14+00:00","papers_with_samples":0,"samples_harvested":0,"samples_ran":0,"samples_unverified":0,"pointer_only_for_licence":0,"papers_with_no_sample_that_ran":0,"note":"the per-paper counts above, summed; not a rate"},"papers_note":"The archive never published its papers-using-dataset list; these are papers with a leaderboard row on this dataset's benchmarks."}
