{"url":"/dataset/fish-counting","name":"Fish Counting","full_name":null,"description_markdown":"The researchers collected a dataset of 3,500 images of Tilapia fish in a small bowl containing three fish per image. These images were manually annotated using Roboflow, with four keypoints labeled on each fish: mouth, peduncle, belly, and back. While only the mouth and peduncle keypoints were needed for length measurement, the additional keypoints were included to support potential future research using girth for weight determination.\r\nThe dataset was used to train YOLOv8 models for both keypoint detection and fish counting tasks. For real-world validation, an additional test set of 100 frame pairs (200 images total) captured from two cameras at different angles in actual fish farm conditions was also used.","description_withheld":null,"homepage":"https://huggingface.co/datasets/Raniahossam33/fish_feeding","introduced_date":"2024-09-13","introduced_date_note":null,"introduced_by":{"paper":"/paper/precision-aquaculture-an-integrated-computer","title":"Precision Aquaculture: An Integrated Computer Vision and IoT Approach for Optimized Tilapia Feeding","first_author":"Rania Hossam","url":null},"license":{"name":"MIT","url":null},"modalities":[],"tasks":[{"name":"Object Counting","url":"/task/object-counting","datasets_with_task":"/datasets/task/object-counting"}],"languages":[{"name":"English","url":"/datasets/language/english"}],"variants":["Fish Counting"],"data_loaders":[],"num_papers_in_archive":1,"source":{"archive":"pwc-archive (Hugging Face), CC BY-SA 4.0","snapshot":"2025-07-28"},"benchmarks":[],"papers_with_a_benchmark_row":[],"syntology_totals":{"read_at":"2026-09-24T18:15:14+00:00","papers_with_samples":0,"samples_harvested":0,"samples_ran":0,"samples_unverified":0,"pointer_only_for_licence":0,"papers_with_no_sample_that_ran":0,"note":"the per-paper counts above, summed; not a rate"},"papers_note":"The archive never published its papers-using-dataset list; these are papers with a leaderboard row on this dataset's benchmarks."}
